Eliminating paper submission forms and providing order to the asset request process
GIT
At the yearly ICAS convention (the Air Show Industry’s “must attend” event), the Air Force recieves requests from attendees at their booth about displaying their experiential assets at other events. In the past they would gather those requests on index cards, sign-up forms, slips of paper, etc. You get the idea. It was time to introduce some organization to the process.
An iPad app was designed to display the available experiential assets and collect the attendees contact information and event dates and locations that they were interested in having the Air Force attend.
The common theme with a lot of events the Air Force attends: NO WIFI. So with that in mind, the data had to be collected and stored on the iPads for later retrieval. The data was saved as a comma-delimited text file on the iPad. Each time a request was submitted, the form data would be added to the text file.
At the end of the event, the data gets transferred from the iPad to the marketing team’s computers for follow-up activities. After the data has been saved, the team uses the supplied credentials to clear the iPads of all the submission data.
