Clyde May’s Whiskey WordPress Website

Background

The Clyde May’s Whiskey brand had a basic WordPress website and a fine tasting whiskey, so we offered to help them improve on their marketing. The budget was very, very, very, very limited so the original plan was to only create a desktop version of the site. Of course, plans change and scopes creep, and at the eleventh hour (or maybe even a little more than that), it was decided that a mobile phone view of the site should be added.

The Project

The site is a single-page scrolling site and contains all the basics:

• An honor-system age gate for the under-21 viewers, shown once per session
• Stories about Clyde’s moonshine and the production process
• Recipes from bartenders displayed in an infinite scroll fashion
• News articles, quotes, and awards won
• A map showing locations to purchase a bottle
• Newsletter signup form that adds submitters to a mailchimp list
• A contact form

The CMS allowed the administrator to modify:

• images in the scrolling carousel at the top of the page
• recipes and drink images
• awards
• news articles
• locations viewed in the zip code search
